ESCAPE-Pain is a rehabilitation programme designed to reduce pain and discomfort from hip and knee pain. 

How Rehabilitation Helped Restore Strength, Confidence & Independence

Join our 6 week (12 session) programme

• 20 minutes of group discussion on a specific topic related to joint pain. Information and simple ways to better manage knee and hip pain. 
• 40 minutes of a simple circuit-type exercises. A gentle, individualised exercise programme that matches your needs and pace.

After completing the programme you will be able to...  

• Carry out normal activities. 

• Manage your symptoms. 

• Become more active. 

• Continue to exercise.

Eligibility criteria for Escape Pain (knee and hip)

• Chronic joint pain (at least 3 months’ duration). 

• No contraindications to carrying out a regular exercise programme. 

• Would benefit from a group-based rehabilitation programme with exercise. 
• Independently mobile and able to participate in a group-based exercise programme with minimal supervision.

Programme Costs (12 sessions over 6 weeks)

Standard rate: £90 / Over 60years: £58.80 / Low income benefit rate: £36
