Download your Collector's Card

You can also download your card here, to enter Summer Reading for individuals, families and groups. The interactive card makes it easy for you to mark off each circle as you read/listen to a book, attend an event or activity at your local library.

Remember there are lots of library activities taking place in Aberdeenshire as part of Summer of Play too.

Once your card is full send a copy back to us to be entered into a prize draw and be in with a chance to win some fantastic prizes: summerreading@aberdeenshire.gov.uk

You can also drop your completed card off at any of your local libraries to then be entered into the prize draw.

Creative Competition

This year’s creative competition is for all ages! We are asking for you to create a design for a poster and/or bookmark that reflects the diverse communities across Aberdeenshire.

Diversity is about what makes each of us unique and includes our backgrounds, personality, life experiences where we live and our beliefs, all of the things that make us who we are today. “Aberdeenshire is a diverse community, what does living in a diverse community mean to you?”

Summer Reading Digital Bookshelves

You can access eBooks and eAudiobooks by downloading the Libby App or accessing through the Digital Library. Remember and mark your card when you read or listen to any of the books you download. Take a look at our catalogue too.

Colouring in Activity

Let everyone know that you are taking part in Summer Reading 2023 and colour in your own 'I'm taking part' poster. Linking to the theme of diversity, make it as bold and as bright as you want to!

We would love to see what you come up with. Why not post a picture on social media and tag us on Facebook or Twitter?
