Talented Athlete Pass

Athletes accepting a Talented Athlete Pass must agree to Live Life AAberdeenshires and its services sharing agreed photos/videos etc on its platforms Athletes are also encouraged to raise awareness of the support offered.

For athletes below the full 100% concession rate, they can access the full discount by engaging with Live Life Aberdeenshire through their Talented Athlete Pass.

The Level of engagement required will be agreed prior to the Talented Athlete Pass being awarded. Passes renew annually but will be reviewed after a 6-month period to ensure athletes are on track for the predetermined engagement levels.

Awarding of the Talented Athlete Pass

Athletes will be awarded the Talented Athlete Pass in person (unless agreed prior) at a Live Life Aberdeenshire Venue. These include all sports facilities, schools, and Community Sport Hubs.

Athletes will be required to have photos taken with Live Life Aberdeenshire staff and the pass once the application has been approved. The main staff contacts will be the Community Sport Hub Officers, though other relevant Live Life Aberdeenshire staff can be used, if applicable.

Engagement

We appreciate that athletes are at varying stages of training and competition. The engagement levels will be predetermined before the pass is awarded.

Examples of engagement events include:

• Attending an Active School Programme, Event, or Camp. (Potential for this to be virtual depending on training needs/availability)
• Attending a Community Sport Hub Meeting, Event, or Programme
• Written/Video Blogs which can be shared with clubs/hubs and school programmes and Live Life Aberdeenshire
• Engagement with Club Conference
• Hosting workshops in person/virtual
• Working with Active Schools to deliver direct school engagement (assembly, showcasing medals, presenting awards)
• Supporting/Attending Live Life Aberdeenshire events
• Become a Live Life Aberdeenshire Ambassador
• Attend and promote group ex classes – giving online reviews
• Q&A sessions

Usage

Athletes awarded a Talented Athlete Pass will be able to access all Live Life Aaberdeenshire facilities free of charge.

• Pass must only be used to make bookings for the pass holder and not for family or friends
