Summer is coming and we are happy to support the Royal Life Saving Society UK’s Drowning Prevention Week campaign from 17 – 24 June 2023.
Drowning Prevention Week is one of the largest summer water safety campaigns across UK and Ireland and is critical in raising awareness and encouraging the public to enjoy water safely.
As a part of our contribution, LLA will include many water safety activities like an activity weekend at Macduff Marine Aquarium, sessions at libraries and water safety information in all our swim lessons (currently 9000 members). All the activities will be carried out with the support of our partners and colleagues.
We want to engage with children and young people as early as possible, improving their knowledge and understanding of water safety.
Enjoy water safely this summer and give children the skills to enjoy a lifetime of water in summer.
