Interested in local history and genealogy. The Local Studies department here has many resources about the local area, past and present - books, newspapers, photographs, maps, census records, Old Parish Registers.....

If you love reading and talking about books, then why not join a reading group or set up your own.Your local library can help – letting you know about existing groups in your area or offering tips and advice about starting up your own group. The Library Service lends collections of titles especially for reading groups,so you can choose from a list and ask your library to get them for you.

Reading groups are a great opportunity to meet up with other people, share books you have enjoyed and try books you might never have tried otherwise
