Our phone lines are open between 8.15am and 7pm Monday to Friday.
Click and Collect and Doorstep Deliveries will be available from Ballater Library from the week beginning Monday 10th August. The Deeside community is the latest to get the new service, which has already been rolled out in Oldmeldrum, Fraserburgh, Banchory, Ellon and Stonehaven.
People have so far been jumping at the chance to collect (or have delivered) new books, hearing aid batteries from the NHS and Curricular Support Resources.
From next week there will also be some new services added to Click and Collect at Library HQ in Oldmeldrum. Customers will be able to book a slot to collect reading group collections as well as Bookbug Baby and Bookbug Toddler bags. Photocopying will also be added to the booking system where a member of staff will carry out the photocopying on your behalf. Customers can either book a slot for this service or add it onto a drop off or collection booking.
While Live Life Aberdeenshire’s digital library services have been very well used during lockdown, there has been great demand for increased access to materials only available in libraries.
The new services are being introduced to allow customers and staff to remain socially distant and safe, while still getting what they need to make lockdown more bearable.
A new online system has been developed alongside an easy-to-use phone service to book time slots and resources. A “Live Chat” function is also available on the Live Life Aberdeenshire website. Customers can return items to any of the participating sites.
Customers who require a Doorstep Delivery should call (01467) 532929 to make arrangements.
