Our learning to ride programme, Balance to Pedal, provides a safe and gentle introduction to cycling and is aimed at children who would like to progress from a balance bike to riding a pedal cycle.
This Easter we have a selection of taster sessions in Alford, Ellon, Huntly and Westhill suitable for 4-5 year old pre-school children and those in primary 1 to primary 3. All bikes are provided and have been checked by our qualified mechanic so there's no need for children to bring their own balance bike or early pedal bike. Helmets will also be provided.
These sessions are an introduction to our Balance to Pedal programme, which will be rolled out across venues later this year. During these taster sessions our coaches will help your child increase their confidence on a balance bike or early pedal bike, while our full programme of four or five, 30 minute sessions is designed to fully assist with that transition
Only children taking part need to book a place but an adult must remain with children booked into our pre-school session. Children in P1-P3 can be left at the session, however parents must return ahead of the end of the session.

Further information and a consent form will be sent by email, usually within 24 hours of booking. Please complete the consent form no later than the day before your first session.
